Sunnydale has long had a reputation as a happy and caring community and we are very proud of this. Visitors often comment on the friendly, orderly and purposeful atmosphere that is built on an ethos that encourages students to do well and be proud of their achievements. We aim to ensure that by the time they leave our students are rounded individuals who are confident and well prepared to make an informed choice for the future.

We are developing a dynamic curriculum that is broad, balanced, challenging, imaginative and appropriate to the needs of all pupils. We are recognised for our excellence and distinctive character in the provision for the use of ICT which allows us to ensure that students have access to high quality resources at all times. We are acknowledged as a leading exponent in the field of virtual learning environments.

The staff is committed, talented and well qualified. They provide a safe and caring learning environment in well cared for accommodation with good quality resources and equipment. Staff provide opportunities to enable students to develop fully their abilities and potential in lessons and in the exciting range of extra curricular activities on offer.

We try to work in partnership with governors, parents, students and the local primary schools to offer the best possible education for each one of our students. We are truly inclusive and try to ensure that every student is made to feel welcome so that their time here is happy and successful.

Sunnydale was designated as a Specialist Maths and Computing College in 2006 and the extra resources available are helping us to improve our facilities, to increase our staffing, to strive for excellence and to work closely with our community.

These are exciting times and by challenging everybody to achieve the highest standards, and supporting them along the way, we aim to get the best results.
